FRESH WATER FISHING LICENCES

Freshwater Fishing Licences are mandatory for anyone Angling in BC freshwaters, Anyone Aged 16 or over must have the appropriate licence. BC residents under the age of 16 do not require a licence and are entitled to their own quota of fish.

Non- residents under the age of 16 do not require a licence but must be accompanied by a person who holds the appropriate licence. Any fish kept are part of the of the catch and possession of the accompanying licence holder. You must have a valid  licence while sport fishing and, if asked, produce it for inspection by a conservation officer, fishery officer, RCMP constable, park ranger in a park, or an officer under the Wildlife Act.
